ISI Emerging Markets to acquire a copy of the Reuters EcoWin Economics Database
Data to be merged into ISI's CEIC Data time-series data products

New York, July 28th 2008 - ISI Emerging Markets ("ISI") today announced it had entered into an agreement to acquire a copy of the Reuters EcoWin Economics Database from Thomson Reuters. ISI also announced it would integrate this data into its CEIC Data time-series databases within the next few months. Thomson Reuters will retain full ownership of the original Reuters EcoWin Economics database and related trademarks, and no changes will be made to its existing business as a result of the sale.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The sale, which is expected to close in the third calendar quarter of 2008, is being made by Thomson Reuters to meet certain regulatory requirements of the European Commission in connection with the merger of Reuters and Thomson, which closed on April 17, 2008, and has been approved by the European Commission.

"The purchase of this data allows us to enhance our existing Asian and emerging market expertise and to offer our customers a genuinely global economic database," said Brian de Lacy, CEO of ISI. "We look forward to applying our standards of timeliness and quality to the data and delivering a best in class macro-economic time-series database to customers."
