New look and functionality designed to optimize performance and functionality.


New York, NY, September 03, 2001 - Internet Securities, Inc., announces the launch of its new interface and platform for its flagship Emerging Market Information Service (www.securities.com). The functionality of the service has been retooled with new and improved graphics, simplified navigation, and faster, more comprehensive search results.

“We've spent a great deal of time researching and evaluating subscriber feedback.” said James Hammond, Senior Vice President of Marketing, for Internet Securities Inc. “Performance-wise, our customers asked us for improved search results, faster downloads, and better categorization of data. Content-wise, they have been looking for more proprietary editorial, and increased value added data. And they want all this in an easily navigated format. Our new platform delivers all of the above. The reactions of our test users have been categorically positive; they’re extremely pleased with the results.”

Changes in interface design reflect the company’s commitment to ease of use and rapid access to information. Says Aloisio Parente, VP of Product Development, “Simplicity is our mantra. Our customers are busy people who have little time to spend looking for data, and even less time to spend learning complicated systems. What they do is make decisions, and it’s our job to make sure they are as informed as possible. Internet Securities gets them what they need with a minimum of steps. Principal performance and content features of the service’s redesign and upgrade include the following:

  • Enhanced customization features. The new platform includes tools allowing users to better monitor companies and industries, archive and manage retrieved data, save searches and track equity prices.
  • Improved alerting services. The company’s Email alert functionality uses a new search engine for more accurate and timely results.
  • Cleaner Graphics and Interface allowing for near instantaneous downloads.
  • Aggregated, full text content from over 5200 publications, many of which are available online only through Internet Securities.
  • Analyst reports from leading brokers and consulting firms.
  • Award winning, proprietary news and Industry reports on Central and Eastern Europe produced by the Internet Securities IntelliNews editorial team.

    The emerging Markets Information Service database is available for 35 emerging market countries. Subscribers can opt for subscriptions to single country databases, or select access to multiple country or regional packages. Each country database contains massive amounts of valuable company and industry news, statistics, analysis and financial statements from thousands of sources. Each country database has sub-sections focusing on News, Company Data, Industry Data, Financial Market Data, and Research Reports. Search functionality is present on every page, as is access to the company’s customer service staff.

    The new look of the Emerging Markets Information service is the fruit of over 18 months of research and development. It involved the active participation of over 150 Internet Securities subscribers and prospects around the world, and the development effort of the company’s global product and technology staff. The centralized platform will act as a springboard for future projects, giving ISI the flexibility to create new products and make improvements quickly.
