INTERNET SECURITIES, INC. ACQUIRES ASSETS OF INFOLATINA
The world's leading supplier of on-line business information on Emerging Markets to own and operate InfoLatina business information databases.
Mexico City, September 29, 2000 - Internet Securities, Inc., the pioneering publisher of Internet-delivered emerging markets news and information, today announced the acquisition of the assets of InfoLatina. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Included in the operation are the databases of InfoLatina, Mexico's first Internet delivered subscription business information database, and Corporate Mexico TM, an English language business newswire focusing on Mexico.
"InfoLatina has been building a solid suite of business information products for Mexico since 1995." Said Gary Mueller, CEO of Internet Securities. "They have a very strong brand and a subscriber base that nicely complements ours. So it's a powerful addition to Internet Securities in Mexico."
Adds Francisco Martinez, General Manager for Internet Securities de Mexico, "InfoLatina is a great fit for us. The integration of their content sources into our own Emerging Markets information service will create far and away the richest source of aggregated business information on Mexico."
In addition to its flagship Emerging Market Information Service, Internet Securities will continue to market the InfoLatina service in Mexico and abroad. Internet Securities expects to complete the integration of the two databases by October.
