JAMES HAMMOND III APPOINTED TO SENIOR VP OF MARKETING AT INTERNET SECURITIES, INC.

Boston, MA, January 04, 2000 - Internet Securities, Inc., the pioneering provider of Internet-delivered emerging markets news and business information, announced today the appointment of James Hammond III to Senior VP of Marketing.

"Jim joined Internet Securities over two years ago as the Regional Director for Latin America. Hammond joined Internet Securities in 1997 as Regional Director for Latin America. During this time, he played a key role in the development of more than eight Latin American Internet products. He helped establish a presence in more than four countries and managed a team of more than fifty employees.

A native of Boston, Massachusetts, Hammond has a dual residence in Mexico City and Santiago. He will return to Internet Securities' Boston-based headquarters January 15th at which time, he will officially transition into the Senior VP of Marketing role. Prior to joining Internet Securities, Hammond was the Associate Publisher of World Times, a Latin American publication. Hammond attained his undergraduate degree from Columbia University and graduated from the Arthur D. Little School of Management with a Masters of Science in Management.

Hammond's appointment to Senior VP of Marketing came several days prior to the announcement of Matthew Pasternak joining Internet Securities, Inc. as the Director of Operations for the Americas. Pasternak, formerly a Project Director and Partner of Business Intelligence Associates, LLP in Greenwich, Connecticut will be based in the Internet Securities' Manhattan sales office, located on 488 Madison Avenue.

"Pasternak brings over fifteen years experience in sales, product marketing and business development in both North and South America to our organization," says de Lacy, Chief Operations Officer. "In his new role with ISI, he will be responsible for managing sales operations and customer service in the Americas."
