Thaco Luxury Cars Assembly And Manufacturing Limited Liability Company (Vietnam)

Being members of Thaco Group, the subject and THACO PREMIUM AUTOMOBILE ASSEMBLY AND MANUFACTURING LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY are now manufacturing and assembling Peugeot. As shared by an administrative staff, THACO PREMIUM AUTOMOBILE ASSEMBLY AND MANUFACTURING LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY has transferred completely the manufacturing and assembly of Mazda automobile to other company in the group, and Peugeot automobile has still being transferred to the subject.Since the beginning of 2020, the local automobile industry has faced to many difficulties due to the impact of COVID-19. According to the statistical data of Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers' Association (VAMA), the number of consumed automobiles in Vietnam was 52,557 ones in the first quarter of 2020, decreased by 32,8% compared to the same period of last year. In particular, the number of local assembling automobile attained 33,174 ones (declined by 28%), and the number of imported automobile was 19.383 ones (dropped 39%). According to VAMA's forecast, total number of automobile that will be sold, will be went down about 15% against VAMA's expectation in 2020.According to the media, Thaco has just published to discount many automobile brands (Kia, Mazda and Peugeot) with the maximum level of VND 200 million in Jul 2020. The decrease in automobile price will be hoped to push up highly the consumption output of Thaco.
