Founded in 1996, HVS is a joint venture between South Korean partners and Shipbuilding Industry Corporation in Vietnam. Previously, this company specialized in ship conversion and repair. Since moving into the new building business in the late 2000s, HVS has become the largest shipyard in Southeast Asia with the delivery of a total of 157 cargo ships up to 87,000 tons and oil tankers up to 75,000 tons for customers around the world such as Italy, Japan, South Korea, Greece, Denmark, England, Singapore...According to Newsis news network on June 14, 2023, HVS has just won an order to build two ships carrying petroleum products from a shipping company in Africa. In 2023, HVS plans to deliver a total of 13 ships with a revenue target of USD 543.8 million. From the beginning of 2023 until now, HVS has built and handed over 8 new ships with a tonnage of 50,000 tons with a revenue of USD 259 million for partners, reaching 47.6% of the year plan. In 2023, HVS will deploy 3 projects with a series of 13 large oil tankers of up to 115 thousand tons for British and Greek ship owners, lasting until 2026.
