Created in 1993, initially, SC was known under the name of ABB POWER GRIDS VIETNAM COMPANY LIMITED, owned by ABB PG POWER GRIDS LTD. In 2019, one of the subject's parts was separated to become an independent company named ABB AUTOMATION AND ELECTRIFICATION (VIETNAM) COMPANY LIMITED. Since the end of 2021, the subject has become a subsidiary of HITACHI ENERGY HOLDINGS LTD. From that to now, the subject's name is HITACHI ENERGY VIETNAM COMPANY LIMITED.
