Ulker was founded in 1944 by Sabri Ulker, commencing operations in Istanbul as a small bakery, four years later a factory was opened. By the end of the 20th century, Ulker was manufacturing margarine, vegetable oil and dairy products. In 2002, It diversified into carbonated beverages, and in 2003, added Turkish coffee, ice cream and baby food to its product range.
Nowadays the company is the largest Turkish confectionery manufacturer and local market leader in chocolate, cookies, margarine and cocoa product groups and has significant shares in cakes, candies, edible oil, fruit juice and milk, employs more than 11,000 people and export Its products to 110 countries worldwide.
