UniCredit Banka Slovenija d.d. began operations in 1991 under the name Länder Bank d.d. Ljubljana founded by Austria’s Lander Bank and Slovenia’s Slovenijales d.d. After numerous acquisitions and transformations in 2005 the lender was acquired by Italy-based UniCredit Group, which is present in 22 European countries and has over 9,500 branches across the globe. Two years later, in 2007, the bank was renamed to UniCredit Banka Slovenija d.d.
The lender provides general banking services to a diverse customer base that includes large corporations, small and mid-sized businesses and individuals. It attends over 100,000 clients through a network of nearly 30 branch offices in Slovenia.
