Until July 1, 2008, the company was part of OJSC RAO "UES of Russia" and was its subsidiary joint-stock company. Since July 1, 2008, the company has been part of the Holding - Open Joint Stock Company "Holding MRSC", created as a result of the reorganization of OJSC RAO "UES of Russia", and is its subsidiary joint-stock company. Since April 2013, OJSC "Holding MRSC" has been renamed to OJSC "Russian Grids" (since July 17, 2015, PJSC "Russian Grids") (51% of the company's authorized capital belongs to PJSC "Rosseti").
