Sumatec Resources Berhad operates as an investment holding company. The activities are providing shipping service, the renting of industrial building, mining, and exploration. The services include construction, shop fabrication service, plant design and engineering services, insulation and refractory installation services and turnkey plant construction services. The company also involved in the provision of specialized project management services in heavy structural steel fabrication and erection, piping fabrication and installation and civil, building, electrical and instrumental work. The project are conducted in several countries such as Singapore, Maldives, Sudan and Cambodia. In addition, Sumatec Resources Berhad has a fabrication facility in Shah Alam, in the state of Selangor. Besides, the company also owns a six acre fabrication workshops located in the district of Dungun, in the state of Terengganu. This fabrication workshop is strategically situated in the Kerteh industrial park to cater for the similar engineering services. The company was incorporated in 1914 and is based in Kuala Lumpur.
