Grupo Financiero Banorte S.A.B. de C.V. is a Mexican financial institution that offers banking, leasing, warehousing, insurance, pension and brokerage services. The company was founded in 1986 when Banco Mercantil de Monterrey and Banco Regional del Norte, joined together and formed Banco Mercantil del Norte. The company has been listed on the Mexican Stock Exchange since 1992. In March, 2011 Grupo Financiero Banorte merged with Grupo Financiero Ixe.
