Ceska narodni banka (CNB) is the central bank of the Czech Republic. It supervises the financial market, supports the general economic policies of the government, sets monetary policy and issues banknotes and coins. The central bank is also responsible for the management of the circulation of currency, payment system and settlement between banks. Ceska narodni banka supervises the banking sector, the capital market, the insurance industry and other financial entities, such as pension funds, credit unions, electronic money institutions and bureaux de change.
