Polish renewable energy projects investor Esperotia Energy Investments could consider acquisitions of existing biogas projects, the CEO of the firm told EMIS.
"We are interested in biogas and waste-to-energy projects with capacity of up to 2 MW. Our long-term strategy envisages acquisitions of existing installations," Agnieszka Król said.
This year, the company plans to construct two biogas projects, which are expected to be completed by the end of September. The investments are to have a positive effect on Esperotia Energy Investments' results in 2016.
The firm could consider debuting on the Warsaw Stock Exchange's main floor in the long term, but this is not likely to happen before 2017. "We have such plans, but I think that it will not take place before the end of 2016," Król said.
Esperotia Energy Investments is also considering building biogas installations in Bulgaria.
Headquartered in Wroclaw, Esperotia Energy Investments was set up in 2009 to carry out investment projects in the area of renewable energy sources with a particular focus on biogas plants.
