In Poland, a country that claims to be among the European Union's top ten egg producers, GMO-free and antibiotics-free eggs and poultry producer Farmio is considering takeovers and plans a 2017/2018 Warsaw Stock Exchange debut, the vice president and managing director of the firm told EMIS.
"We are thinking about entering the bourse around 2017 or 2018. We need funds to promote the brand and carry out our marketing campaigns," Artur Węgłowski said.
He added that the offer is likely to fetch at least several dozen million zloty.
Farmio is mulling takeovers although no advanced talks are under way at the moment, the executive explained.
"We are definitely considering takeovers, we could buy distribution firms, sorting or packaging plants, logistics companies or even production firms," Węgłowski said.
Farmio currently offers GMO- and antibiotics-free eggs and has recently introduced poultry meat to its offer.
The company plans to introduce new products in the future, including meat, processed meat and dairy products.
Farmio expects to post revenues of PLN 60mn (EUR 14mn) this year. By 2017, when the firm could debut on the bourse, it expects to have revenues of around PLN 400mn.
