Brian de Lacy

Brian de Lacy - Chief Executive Officer  

Brian de Lacy joined ISI Emerging Markets as Chief Operating Officer in June 1999 and was promoted to Chief Executive Officer in October of 2002. Prior to joining ISI, Brian spent 17 years at Reuters starting in sales based in South Africa and then moving via sales management into P&L management based in the United States of America. Prior to joining Reuters, Brian worked in the Investment and Foreign Exchange divisions of a leading South African bank.

Brian attended university in South Africa and is a graduate of the Boston University Graduate School of Management where he received his MBA. He has been a director of ISI since June 1999.

Aloisio Parente

Aloisio Parente - Managing Director, CEIC  

Aloisio Parente joined ISI Emerging Markets as Product Manager in 1997 and has since held positions of Country Manager, VP of Product Development, Managing Director Asia and is currently the Managing Director for CEIC. Prior to joining ISI, Aloisio was a cofounder in a publishing business and an IT consulting firm. Aloisio has a degree in Marketing from Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing in Brazil.

Douglas Taylor

Douglas Taylor - Managing Director, EMIS  

Douglas B Taylor is Managing Director responsible for ISI's Emerging Markets Information Service (EMIS).

Doug is also Managing Partner of Burton-Taylor International Consulting LLC, a business consulting organization focused on the market data industry.

Doug founded Burton-Taylor after leaving a role as Managing Director, Customer Segment Management, Marketing & Product Development - Asia, for Thomson Financial, accountable for revenue and product strategy in the Investment Management, Investment Banking & Research, Institutional Equities and Retail Wealth Management segments. He also headed Marketing and Product Development for the region.

Before joining Thomson Doug was at Microsoft, responsible for channel partner business strategy and relationship management in their largest customer segment.

Prior to Microsoft, Doug spent 15 years at Reuters, in North America, South America and Europe. His roles ranged from managing sales & marketing in Brazil to heading marketing and product management for Reuters news globally.

Doug holds an MBA in Marketing and Management and a BBA in Finance, from the University of Oklahoma, and is a Board member of First State Financial Inc.

Carl Blake

Juan Carlos Amaya - VP, Head of Technology, CEIC  

Juan Carlos Amaya has helped grow ISI Emerging Markets since 1996 when he was first tasked with expanding technical operations in the Latin American market. Juan Carlos has since hired, managed and led technology teams around the world in the design, development, and support of ISI's mission critical applications and systems. Juan Carlos now heads up the Technology department for CEIC Data where he reports directly to his Managing Director on all aspects related to the company's vital technical operations. He's also responsible for a global service delivery organization that provides critical infrastructure and application services to all of ISI's businesses.

Prior to ISI, Juan Carlos was in Northern Telecom where he helped with the marketing and deployment of voice and data wireless technologies to customers throughout the Americas.

Juan Carlos holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, with a Minor degree in Industrial Management. Juan Carlos is a LASPAU Alumni, and a Venezuelan Galileo scholar.

Carl Blake

Carl Blake - VP, Head of Technology, EMIS  

Carl is one of the earliest members of the team being the 7th employee to join ISI in 1995. His initial responsibilities were working in Poland and Hungary to help recruit, train and manage the technology group as ISI expanded its business across Central and Eastern Europe. As ISI continued to expand into South America and Asia, Carl moved back to the USA in 1997 to focus on software architecture and application development.

Carl, a keen proponent of open source software, built many of ISI's first applications on the LAMP stack. In 2001, he was promoted to enterprise architect and global development manager. In this role, he led his team in implementing large-scale big data solutions with a heavy focus on search and metadata based applications.

Most recently Carl has been promoted to VP - Head of Technology - EMIS, reporting directly to the CEO for ISI. In this role he will head up the entire technology group for EMIS which will add the overseeing of global technology day to day operations to his above mentioned responsibilities.

Carl has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.

Alfredo Canta

Alfredo Canta - Vice President of Finance  

Alfredo Canta is Vice President of Finance for ISI Emerging Markets, and responsible for finance and administration operations across the group.

He started at ISI in September 2000 as Corporate Controller.

Before joining ISI, he was the Regional Finance Manager for Asia of Euromoney Institutional Investor and a Director of Euromoney Publications (Jersey) Ltd.

Prior to his position with the Euromoney Institutional Investor Group, Alfredo was the Chief Accountant at Global Sources Media Group in Manila. Previously he was a Senior Auditor at SyCip Gorres Velayo & Co. (SGV & Co.), the affiliate of Ernst & Young International in the Philippines.

Alfredo holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce majoring in Accountancy from San Beda College in Manila. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the Philippines.

Agnes Au

Agnes Au - Director of CEIC Data Company Limited

Agnes joined CEIC Data Company Ltd. in 1996 as a Senior Manager in sales and marketing. Subsequently she has held several managerial positions of increasing responsibility within the company, culminating in her role as General Manager of Operations reporting directly to the Managing Director. In this role, Agnes led the expansion of CEIC to become a globally recognized Asian Research Data provider with customers all over the world. After the acquisition of CEIC by Internet Securities, Inc. trading as ISI Emerging Markets, Agnes was appointed a Director of CEIC in April 2005 and continues to oversee global operations of the company.

Prior to joining CEIC, Agnes held various sales and marketing positions with Investamatics and Bridge Information System. She has worked in the financial information industry for over 14 years. Agnes holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Honors) degree from University of Central Florida, USA.

Gary Mueller

Gary Mueller - Founder  

Gary Mueller founded ISI Emerging Markets in 1994 and led the company as Chairman until 2010.

Prior to ISI Emerging Markets, Gary worked in emerging markets, primarily on privatization, as part of the economic reform team that assisted Russia on its transition to a market economy. He then worked for KPMG's privatization group in Poland.

Gary is a graduate of Harvard College (1988) and Harvard Business School (1994). Gary was a Fulbright Scholar in Frankfurt, Germany (1988-1990).
