Guinness Nigeria Plc is a public limited liability company located in Ikeja, Nigeria. It was incorporated on April 29, 1950, as a trading company importing Guinness Stout from Dublin. Over the years, the company has transformed into a manufacturing operation and its main activities include brewing, packaging, marketing, and selling a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The company's main products include Guinness Foreign Extra Stout, Guinness Extra Smooth, Malta Guinness, Malta Guinness Herbs Lite, Harp Lager, Smirnoff Ice, Satzenbrau Lager, Dubic Malt, Snapp, Master's Choice, Orijin Spirit Mixed Drink, Orijin Bitters, Smirnoff Ice Double Black with Guarana, Guinness Africa Special, Orijin Zero, Tappers, and Royal Kingdom Lager. In 2016, Guinness Nigeria Plc acquired the exclusive distribution rights to Diageo plc's international premium spirit brands in Nigeria. This includes popular brands such as Baileys, Smirnoff, Gordon's, Captain Morgan, Tanqueray, Ciroc, and the Johnnie Walker range. Furthermore, the company has installed Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) production lines and started producing and selling products in PET format in 2018. Currently, Malta Guinness, Orijin Zero, and Dubic Malt are produced in PET formats. Guinness Nigeria Plc has also acquired the right to manufacture locally some of the most successful mainstream spirits brands in Nigeria, including Smirnoff Vodka and Gordon's Gin. Additionally, their relationship with Diageo has allowed them to import, market, sell, and produce locally MrDowell's and Royal Challenge whiskey in Nigeria. With this diverse portfolio of brands, Guinness Nigeria Plc is the only Total Beverage Alcohol (TBA) business in Nigeria capable of catering to the needs of all consumer segments.
