AmFIRST Real Estate Investment Trust (AmFIRST REIT) is a real estate investment trust based in Malaysia. It was established in Malaysia and listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad on December 21, 2006. The trust owns a diverse portfolio of eight properties located in Klang Valley (including Cyberjaya), Melaka, and Penang, with a total Net Lettable Area of approximately 3.0 million sq ft. AmFIRST REIT is managed by AmREIT, which is responsible for the management and administration of the trust, as well as the implementation of its investment and business strategies. The manager, AmREIT, was incorporated in Malaysia on April 20, 2006, and is wholly-owned by AmREIT Holdings. AmREIT Holdings is 70% owned by AmInvestment Group Berhad (AIGB) and 30% owned by Amcorp Properties Berhad (AmProp). AIGB is a subsidiary of AMMB Holdings Berhad, a public limited liability company listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia, which provides a wide range of financial services. AmProp is a subsidiary of Amcorp Group Berhad, an investment holding company involved in various businesses, including financial services and property development and investment.
