Gamesa was created in 1921 in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, when Santos Gonzalez´ brothers acquired 50 percent of the "Lara S.A" shares, a factory of pastas and cookies, which in 1978 became "Gamesa, S.A de C.V" Since 1990, "Gamesa" is part of PepsiCo. In 2001, PepsiCo acquired Quaker group and later that year Gamesa joined "Quaker Foods" operations |
