Altos Hornos de México S.A. de C.V. is a steel manufacturing company that was founded in 1942. It has two steel works plants situated within an area of nearly 3,000 acres. AHMSA´s is dedicated to the merchandising of coal, iron, gold and mining, as well as the manufacturing of high value-added steel products. AHMSA has been listed on the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV) since 1994. In 1999 the company was declared in "bankruptcy protection," which is why its shares were suspended from operation |
