Tavantolgoi's (small Tavantolgoi) mine is located within the massive 6.4 Bt Tavantolgoi (large Tavantolgoi) coking and thermal coal deposit in South Gobi province. The resources are estimated at 90Mt, of which 40Mt is coking coal. Tavantolgoi exported 3Mt to China in 2010 compared to 0.79 Mt in 2006.
