Sipetrol is the international arm of Chilean state-run oil company Empresa Nacional de Petroleos (Enap). Sipetrol has business in Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Ecuador and Enap has a 40 pct share in energy supply of Chile. The Company also has a subsidiary in London. In March 2004, Sipetrol discovered new oil reserves in Egypt and plans to explore oil fields in Iran and Yemen. Enap also plans to negotiate with Brazilian oil giant Petrobras to develop joint oil projects in Chile. |
