Xella Bulgaria, the Bulgarian arm of German building materials manufacturer Xella, is a successor of Ytong Bulgaria. In September 2004, Ytong Bulgaria became part of German group Xella and was renamed to Xella Bulgaria. Ytong entered Bulgarian market in 1994 by purchasing the country's sole aerated concrete products manufacturer near the capital Sofia.
