Bulgarian alternative telecoms operator Vestitel BG was established in 2003 by the country's leading gas retailer Overgas.
In August 2004, the operator won a 20-year licence for fixed-line telecom and carrier operations issued by the local telecoms watchdog.
It launched operations in 2006 and hopes to attract 9,000 customers by the end of 2007.
The company's customer base is forecast to reach 213,000 people at the end of 2015.
