| Multicanal was formed in 1991 and acquired by Clarin Group, Argentine leader in mass media communications, in October 1992. It was the first company to offer cable-modem service, only 6 months after its start-up in the USA. In 2006, the largest cable tv company in Argentina, Cablevision bought Multicanal. In 2007 the national government approved the merger between the two companies. |
